Who We Are
Pure Michigan Greyhound is a registered 501c3 non-profit, Pro-Racing Greyhound adoption organization. Our mission is to find loving homes for Greyhounds, and to educate the general public to the desirability of adopting a greyhound as a family pet. The Greyhound breed is noted for being a very gentle and non-confrontational. They are very adaptable upon adoption, and fit very well into all walks of life. Serving, Wayne, Oakland, Macomb counties and surrounding areas. Pure Michigan Greyhound is a member of nationally recognized Greyhound Pets of America.

While we make every effort to test and pass on to our potential adopters if a dog is small dog tolerant and cat tolerant we can not guarantee results either in writing or implied. What we will do is work with every adopter to make sure the best possible match is made for the best interest of the family and dog.

Nellie is a 4 year old retired racer from Australia. Her professional career name is Nellie Creek. Now she prefers to be called Nellie or Nell Bell Nellie is great with kids and other dogs . She is small dog friendly and very cat correctable. She is a very confident girl

Ben is a 4 yr old gentle and quiet boy. Even though he is 80lbs, you would never know it. Neck Scritches are high on his list of favorite things! He gets along fine with kids and small dogs. Ben is also cat workable.

PLEASE HELP. We have applications from folks that would like to adopt their new family member. Due to increasing veterinary and transportation cost, our per dog expenses are exceeding our adoption fees. Pure Michigan Greyhound’s goal is to keep our adoption fees as low as possible while continuing to find forever homes for these exceptional dogs. Being a registered non-profit organization, we depend on donations from people like you.
